Dignitary and Executive Protection

The threat environment for corporate hierarchy, entertainers, athletes, and high visibility public figures is an on-going enigma that continues to evolve. While traditional threat actors such as the ‘lone gunman’ remain an obvious consideration when discussing physical security for protected persons (protectees), threats of a more subtle nature cannot be overlooked, tactics such as embarrassment and harassment have been effectively used against targeted individuals While many organizations today understand the concept of close personal protection (i.e. bodyguards), most still lack the understanding of the importance of proactive, preventative security measures taken in advance. Whether driven by a lack of resources, or simple oversight, the overwhelming majority of individuals protected by private security are not benefitting from the advantages of thorough preventative advance work. As such, these individuals are more susceptible to fall victim to successful attacks, ranging from embarrassment and harassment campaigns to kinetic, violent assaults.

True protection should include a range of activities to include the collection and analysis of protective intelligence as well as traditional physical protection, all designed to shield potential targets from both violent attacks as well embarrassment and harassment. A proactive advance survey, along with a protective intelligence risk assessment, help identify, assess, and manage potential risks.
