Entry Requirements

Entry requirements and course standards — read these before you book.

Expectations
Minimum Age
You must be 18 years old or over on the course start date.
Fluent English
You must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. An English assessment is completed on day 1, as mandated by the SIA.
Valid First Aid Certificate
Emergency First Aid at Work or above, with at least 12 months remaining. First aid courses can be booked through us before your SIA start date.
Photo ID
Photo ID plus 2 letters of proof of address. A full list of accepted documents will be sent with your joining instructions.
Passport-Style Photo
1 photo taken within the last 3 months.
What to Bring
Notepad and pen. Dress code: suitable for practical activities. All learning and assessment materials are provided.
Punctuality is required.
Lateness may result in removal from the course. Arrive on time, every day.
Preparation is mandatory.
Complete and return all pre-course study materials and required documents before day 1. Failure to do so will affect your ability to participate.
Conduct is monitored.
We maintain strict professional behaviour standards throughout. Unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the course.

Security Officers typically work at static sites — corporate offices, retail, construction, warehouses — while Door Supervisors work at licensed premises like pubs, clubs, and events. Door Supervisor training also includes physical intervention and licensing law.

Yes. You must hold a valid EFAW certificate (or above) with at least 12 months remaining. We run 1-day first aid courses before every SIA session.

Yes. As per SIA guidelines, you will complete an English assessment on Day 1 of your course.
